Terms & Conditions
Effective date: July 23, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Scrubl (the “Service”), provided by TaterTapps LLC (“TaterTapps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including our website and mobile applications. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Scrubl Does
Scrubl searches data-broker websites for records containing your personal information, submits removal and opt-out requests to those brokers on your behalf, re-scans on an ongoing basis, and re-submits requests when your information reappears. Depending on your plan, Scrubl may also check your email addresses against known data breaches.
Some brokers do not offer an automated opt-out. For those, Scrubl may provide you with instructions to complete the removal yourself.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the legal age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to purchase a subscription.
3. Your Information Must Be Accurate
Scrubl can only find and remove records that match the details you provide. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information for each person on your account, and to keep it updated. Inaccurate or incomplete information will reduce how much of your data we can find and remove.
4. Adding Other People to Your Account
Multi-person plans let you protect family members or others. By adding someone else to your account, you represent and warrant that:
- You have that person’s permission to submit their personal information to us, or you are their parent or legal guardian;
- You are authorized to act as their agent for the purpose of submitting removal and opt-out requests; and
- You will remove them from your account if that authorization ends.
You are responsible for the information you submit about other people.
5. Authorization to Act on Your Behalf
By using the Service, you appoint TaterTapps and its removal partner as your authorized agent for the limited purpose of submitting opt-out, deletion, and removal requests to data brokers and similar services on your behalf, and of communicating with them about those requests. As described in our Privacy Policy, fulfilling these requests requires disclosing identifying information to those brokers.
6. No Guarantee of Removal
We work continuously to remove your information, but we cannot promise any particular outcome. You acknowledge that:
- Data brokers control their own records and may refuse, delay, or ignore a removal request;
- Brokers frequently re-collect and re-publish information, so records may reappear after being removed;
- New brokers appear over time and no service can cover every site;
- Removal timelines vary by broker and are outside our control; and
- Breach and leaked-password data is provided by a third party and may be incomplete.
Scrubl is not a credit-monitoring, identity-theft-insurance, or background-check service, and nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice.
7. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Scrubl is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. Web purchases are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record; purchases made in our mobile apps are processed by Apple or Google. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you keep access until then. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Purchases made through an app store are subject to that store’s refund rules.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Submit personal information about someone without authorization
- Use the Service to locate, surveil, harass, or harm any person
- Use the Service to make eligibility decisions about anyone, including for credit, employment, housing, or insurance
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service
- Resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written permission
9. Intellectual Property

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties or guarantees regarding the accuracy or completeness of scan results, the removal of any particular record, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use the Service at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaterTapps will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the Service, including any harm resulting from information that remains available, reappears, or is published by a third party.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
13. Modifications to the Service and These Terms
We may update, change, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and continued use of the Service means you accept them.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
